Gordon Smith was named president and chief executive officer of Sargent-Fletcher Co., El Monte, a manufacturer of aerial refueling systems for the defense and commercial aviation industries. Smith, a retired rear admiral, was formerly president of Lockheed Aircraft Service Company in Ontario.
