Mayor Tom Bradley shook up his front-line corps of community coordinators this week, replacing staffers who served as his primary contact with constituents in the San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, South-Central and Westside sections of the city.
Richard Alarcon, 36, will replace Dodo Meyer in the San Fernando Valley. South-Central coordinator Tavis Smiley will be replaced by Gary Boze, 30. Lily Lee, 25, will succeed Hollywood coordinator Lloyd Raikes. West Los Angeles coordinator Valerie Fields will be replaced by Bradley Deputy Press Secretary Lydia Shane, 32.
Bradley, who is traveling in the Far East, said in a prepared statement that he relies on area coordinators “to be my eyes and ears every day in the community.” The new appointments take effect Friday.
