‘Hyper-Negotiated’ Land Swap

In reference to the proposed land exchange between the National Park Service and Potomac Investment Associates, which has been so hyper-negotiated between the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy and Bob Hope that the “missing 59 acres” are now probably the most valuable land in the national recreation area:
I was delighted to read that U.S. Rep. Mike Synar (D-Okla.) intends to investigate these private, behind-closed-doors agreements concerning land owned by, and held in trust for, all the citizens of the United States.
