Teobaldi in Tennis Quarterfinals

Cathie Teobaldi of Cal State Northridge won two matches Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II individual tennis championships in Rancho Cordova.

Teobaldi defeated Leslie McCullough of the University of Denver, 6-3, 6-4, and June Wernke of the University of Indianapolis, 6-3, 6-2.

Teobaldi’s teammate, Allison Kincaid, advanced to the round of 16 before falling. Kincaid beat Air Force’s Angela Moore, 7-5, 6-7 (7-3), 6-3, but lost to Valdosta State’s Chan Dixon, 7-6 (7-5), 6-0.
