NEW YORK — Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg has given birth to her second daughter and the second grandchild of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, it was announced today.
Nancy Tuckerman, spokeswoman for Onassis, said Caroline, a 32-year-old attorney, had a 7-pound, 10-ounce daughter Saturday at New York Hospital and has returned to her East Side Manhattan apartment. She is the wife of designer Edwin Schlossberg.
“Both mother and baby are doing well,” Tuckerman said. “Mrs. Onassis is, of course, delighted.”
Tuckerman said the baby was named Tatiana Celia Kennedy Schlossberg and probably will be called Tanya.
“The Tatiana is after the late Tatiana Grossman, founder of Universal Limited Art Editions and a fine lithographer for whom Ed Schlossberg worked and whom he admired,” Tuckerman said. “Celia is for Ed’s grandmother.”
The Schlossbergs have another daughter, Rose, named for Kennedy clan dowager Rose Kennedy. She will be 2 years old in June.
