Audrey Hepburn and Anne Frank: Audrey Hepburn has called her performance in a musical work based on “The Diary of Anne Frank” among the finest experiences of her life. An audience of 2,400 stood in tribute Monday after Hepburn’s narration during a world-premiere performance of composer Michael Tilson Thomas’ “From the Diary of Anne Frank” at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music. The performance was part of UNICEF’s “Concerts for Life: An American Tour for the World’s Children.” Others are scheduled for today in Chicago, Friday in Houston and Sunday at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
