KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — The United States will defend its women’s World Basketball championship in a preliminary-round group with Czechoslovakia, South Korea and an African nation not yet determined.
The American team, which won the Olympic gold medal at Seoul in 1988, will play its opening-round matches in Kiching from July 12 to July 15 as part of Group C.
