A 30-year-old Tarzana woman was shot and critically wounded and her boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Los Angeles police said this morning.
Patrol officers were called to a house in the 18500 block of Clark Street at 4:40 p.m. Monday and found Holley Daugherty shot in the abdomen, Detective Rick Swanston said. She was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where she was in critical but stable condition after surgery.
Police had been called by the victim’s boyfriend, Kenneth Burk, 35, who said he had shot the woman in a domestic dispute, Swanston said. Burk was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and was being held without bail at the West Valley Division Jail.
