ASPEN, Colo. — Voters in this winter playground of the rich voted Tuesday to keep the mayor who tried to ban fur sales, but they recalled a councilman who stood with him on the issue. Mayor Bill Stirling kept his seat by 130 votes, with 1,227 voting to keep him in office and 1,097 voting to recall him. Councilman Steve Crockett was not as lucky; residents recalled him 1,288 to 1,025.
