American to Expand Domestic Service: The nation’s largest carrier said it will add 39 flights per day to its domestic system next month in an apparent bid to better feed its burgeoning international operations. American, a unit of Dallas-based AMR Corp., said it will concentrate its expansion at its Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Raleigh/Durham, N.C., and Miami hubs. Analysts said the domestic expansion is designed to better feed American’s aggressive international expansion.
