COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Anteaters Stay Hot in Baseball by Holding Off Wyoming

UC Irvine won for the 11th time in its past 12 games, defeating Wyoming, 10-7, Wednesday in a nonconference baseball game at Irvine.
Osmar DeChavez had two hits and two runs batted in and Jon Damush had three hits, one RBI and scored once for Irvine (13-7).
Irvine led, 8-2, but Wyoming scored three runs in the seventh inning and two in the eighth to pull to within 8-7. However, Irvine scored twice in the bottom of the eighth.
Ed Luna hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning and Jon Berger had a solo home run in the eighth for Irvine.
Wyoming is 5-4.
In nonconference softball:
Cal State San Bernardino 3-2, Christ College Irvine 0-0--Judy Lotton had three hits on the day, two in the second game, for Christ College Irvine (8-7).
In nonconference men’s tennis:
Western Michigan 5, Cal State Fullerton 4--Cal State Fullerton (8-4) led, 4-2, after singles play, but Western Michigan (5-7) swept the doubles to win at Fullerton.
