Crown to Offer Book Buyers Club: The company said it will deepen the discount on its best-selling books and create a book buyers club that will offer additional discounts to members. Under Crown’s frequent buyers program, which will be tested later this month in the chain’s San Diego County stores, members will receive a $10 gift certificate when their purchases reach $100. The chain said it would also increase the discount on books on the New York Times hardcover best seller list to 40% from 35%.
