Greyhound Strike Seen Likely: The union representing Greyhound Lines Inc. bus drivers offered little hope that a Friday strike could be averted, although low-level talks with management continued. “There has been progress in some areas, but very little progress in others,” said Edward M. Strait, president of the Amalgamated Council of Greyhound Local Unions. The union represents 6,300 bus drivers and 3,075 of the Dallas-based company’s office and maintenance workers.
