LAUREL, Md. — Double Artemis won her fourth consecutive race while providing apprentice jockey Mark Johnston with his fourth winner of the card Tuesday in the $21,000 Holly-O Purse at Laurel Race Course.
The 4-year-old filly shook off Slewperlative, whose rider later claimed a foul for interference near the eighth pole, but the stewards disagreed.
Double Artemis paid $6.80, $3 and $2.60 as the second choice in the field of seven. Slewperlative returned $2.80 and $2.80 and Ismelda $4 to show.
