Capital Cities/ABC Inc.: The New York-based broadcasting and publishing company said net income rose 25% to $485.7 million in 1989. Revenue rose 4% to $4.96 billion. The company said the ABC television network reported a slight increase in revenue, while revenue for ESPN increased significantly and television station and radio revenue increased moderately. Publishing revenue increased 3%, with the newspaper operations accounting for most of the gain.
