Time for Loyola to Make Its Move
Why is Loyola Marymount University, the second-highest-ranked college basketball team in California, the nation’s leading offense, and the team that has last year’s and this year’s current leading scorer, relegated to the back pages of the sports section while UCLA and (unbelievably) USC garner front-page coverage?
Is adequate coverage and a box score too much to ask for? As for USC (7-10), do they really deserve the same attention as LMU (16-3)? How about giving the Lions the attention they have earned? UCLA and USC own the town. Do they have to own the sports page as well?
