VEYSONNAZ, Switzerland — A heavy morning snowfall and midday fog today caused a 24-hour postponement of a women’s World Cup downhill.
The race, moved from Meribel, France, because of weather problems, was rescheduled for Saturday. A women’s downhill and giant slalom scheduled for Veysonnaz on Saturday and Sunday were postponed by 24 hours to accommodate the change.
The World Cup schedule has been in chaos since the start of the season because of weather problems, mostly lack of snow.
