Richard G. Eils, president and chief operating officer of Los Angeles-based drug and sporting goods store retailer Thrifty Corp., has added the title of chief executive. Leonard H. Straus remains chairman of the Pacific Enterprises subsidiary. Daniel A. Seigel will join Thrifty March 1 as executive vice president, chief financial officer and special assistant to Eils. Seigel, 47, is president of two Pacific Enterprises subsidiaries, Pacific Energy and Pacific Enterprises Leasing Co. Chris Sherman, 37, senior vice president of Pacific Energy and Pacific Enterprises Leasing, succeeds Seigel as president of the two companies.
