Bryan Twins Advance in Tennis Tournament

Twins Bob and Mike Bryan, 11, of Camarillo advanced to the quarterfinals of the Fiesta Bowl Junior Tennis tournament in Tempe, Ariz., on Thursday.
Bob Bryan, seeded third in the boys’ 12-and-under division, defeated Thad O’Grady of Phoenix, 6-3, 6-2.
Seventh-seeded Mike Bryan beat Scott Lippitt of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., 6-2, 6-2.
Bob Bryan will meet sixth-seeded Jeff Smith of Charlotte, N.C., and Mike Bryan will face fourth-seeded Rafael Jordan of Puerto Rico in today’s quarterfinals.
In girls’ play, Jessica Improta of Camarillo was eliminated by Holly Freudenberg of Los Angeles, 6-2, 6-1.
