COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Saddleback Wins Second Game in Row

Saddleback College defeated Southwestern, 84-76, for the second consecutive night in a nonconference basketball game.
Southwestern (1-12) led, 64-57, with eight minutes 12 seconds left, but Saddleback (5-8) outscored Southwestern, 29-12. Lesean London scored all of his eight points in the run. Terrell Malone had seven of his game-high 23 points in the spurt. Charles Lockard, who had 15 points for Saddleback, had six assists. In the Riverside women’s basketball tournament:
Riverside 78, Saddleback 65--Riverside’s full-court press bothered Saddleback, as the Gauchos were outscored 16-2 during a 7 1/2-minute period of the first half in the third-place game of the tournament. Riverside led, 39-27, at the half and Saddleback never cut the lead to fewer than 10 points in the second half.
Bobbie White scored 25 points and had eight rebounds and Darnell Good had 16 points and seven assists for Riverside (9-5). Kristen Okura had 23 points and 13 rebounds and Shannon Garnos had 20 points and eight rebounds for Saddleback (7-8).
