300 Virginia Inmates Stage Mess Hall Brawl

POWHATAN, Va. — As many as 300 inmates took part in a mess hall brawl Sunday night at the Powhatan Correctional Center. It lasted for 2 1/2 hours until law officers could restore order, officials said. Seven guards were reported injured. The cause of the disturbance had not been established.
