BREA : Church to Sponsor Quake-Supply Sale

Christ Lutheran Church at 820 W. Imperial Highway in Brea will sponsor an Earthquake Disaster one-stop shopping sale Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the church parking lot.
“Ninety percent of the people who watched the San Francisco quake on TV knew they should get prepared,” said Russ Pipkorn, event coordinator. “But they never do it. And those that do have to go to five different places.”
Pipkorn said the sale will have everything a family would need for homes and autos in the event of a disaster.
Items, including food, water kits, flashlights, transistor radios, batteries, Sterno candles, thermal blankets and cooking supplies will be sold at discounted prices, Pipkorn said.
“Parents and families should do this for their loved ones,” he said. “They can’t afford not to.”
