The Venice ad agency Chiat/Day/Mojo, which two weeks ago lost its creative big gun in its New York office, has named an even bigger one. As expected, Tom McElligott, 46, one of the founding partners of the Minneapolis ad agency Fallon McElligott, has been named executive vice president and executive creative director of Chiat/Day/Mojo.
McElligott will be responsible for overseeing creative product in the agency’s offices in New York, Toronto and London. He will be replacing Bill Hamilton, who was formerly the top creative director in Chiat/Day/Mojo’s New York office. Hamilton recently left Chiat/Day/Mojo to become creative head at the New York ad firm Ogilvy & Mather.
