Arts and entertainment reports from The Times, national and international news services and the nation's press

Graceland, U.S.A.: Elvis Presley may not have his own stamp, but his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tenn., now has its own postal station. The Graceland Contract Station Post Office, a full-service office approved by the U.S. Postal Service, opened for business Wednesday morning and anything mailed there will be postmarked Graceland. And for Christmas, two commemorative holiday postmarks will be offered. From Dec. 11-15, a pictorial Christmas at Graceland mark will be available, and for the rest of the month, the mark will be a cheerful “Happy Holidays from Graceland.” The mansion is a popular tourist attraction that has had 650,000 visitors this year. Presley died there in 1977.
