Columbia Pictures Entertainment Inc.: The New York entertainment company said second-quarter profit was $13 million, more than double the $6 million recorded a year ago. Revenue rose 21% to $453 million. The company’s recent motion picture hits include “Ghostbusters II” and “When Harry Met Sally.” The company this week agreed to be purchased by Sony Corp. for $3.4 billion.
