Spelling Entertainment Inc.: The Los Angeles entertainment production company reported a $12.5-million profit for fiscal 1989, down 35% from fiscal 1988. Revenue was up 20% to $143.9 million. The company said the figures include results from Worldvision Enterprises Inc. and Laurel Entertainment Inc., which were acquired March 1. The firm said the lower earnings were due in part to costs associated with the acquisitions.
