Dinkins Shaken Up After Car Accident in New York

NEW YORK — Mayoral candidate David N. Dinkins was shaken up but not seriously injured after he was involved in an auto accident en route to a campaign appearance Sunday, an aide said.
“Basically it was a bump on the head,” said Stanley Davis, deputy press secretary for Dinkins, who is Manhattan borough president. Dinkins and three others were riding in a car that was broadsided by another auto. Dinkins was the winner of the Democratic mayoral primary this month.
