Fresno State Romps Past CS Long Beach

FRESNO — Mark Barsotti threw a pair of touchdown passes and tailback Aaron Craver rushed for 116 yards to lead Fresno State to a 52-0 rout of Cal State Long Beach in a Big West Conference game Saturday.
Barsotti, who passed for 200 yards, threw a 12-yard scoring pass to Dwight Pickens to cap a 99-yard scoring drive in the first quarter.
Barsotti also had an 18-yard touchdown pass to Rich Bartlewski in the second quarter. Craver, who set a school record with his fourth-consecutive 100-yard game, had a four-yard touchdown run. Fresno State is 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Long Beach is 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
Myron Jones added scoring runs of seven yards and one yard for Fresno.
Long Beach lost starting quarterback Paul Oates late in the first half with a knee injury. Freshman Bill Grudza came on in the second half and led Long Beach with 48 yards rushing.
Fresno State’s other touchdowns were scored on a two-yard run by Adrian Cooks and on a 36-yard run by Tim Lewis.
