L. A. Baptist 44, Oak Park 7--Oak Park (2-1) scored first, but visiting L. A. Baptist then rolled up 44 consecutive points. L. A. Baptist (2-1) held Oak Park tailback Kent Richter to 35 yards in 15 carries and limited Oak Park to minus-three yards in 28 rushing attempts.
Fullback Jeff Hampsten led L. A. Baptist with 77 yards and a touchdown in seven carries and Colyn Van Buren added 74 yards in 14 carries and scored twice.
