Who is Darrell Robinson, the fellow saying all these things about track people?
Robinson, 25, is a former world junior record-holder at 400 meters. He was a highly recruited prep star in Tacoma, Wash., and briefly attended the University of Houston.
In 1986, Robinson won in the national championships by running a 44.45-second 400, which ranked him No. 3 in the world. He made the usual tours of Europe and eventually competed for the Mazda Track Club.
Robinson claims in the Stern article that he competed with the L.A.-based World Class club in 1988. He did not run this season.
Robinson lives in the province of Ontario, Canada, with his wife and their daughter.
