AMONG THOSE ABUSING THE ELDERLY:
50% of cases involve females, 47% involve males and 3% involve both
39% are abused by their children, 14% by spouses, 28% by significant others (other relatives or friends) and 19% by strangers AMONG THOSE ABUSING DEPENDENT ADULTS:
62% of cases involve males, 38% involve females
