IRT Corp. has settled a court suit over Four Pi Systems Corp.’s alleged infringement on IRT’s proprietary rights to a technology used in the automated X-ray inspection of printed circuit boards. The agreement requires Four Pi to pay IRT a lump sum of $900,000, IRT President John Battin said.
IRT in July filed a patent infringement suit against Four Pi in connection with technology used in IRT’s CXI X-ray system, which automatically inspects electronic assemblies through computerized analysis of X-ray images.
IRT granted Four Pi a limited-use nonexclusive license covering Four Pi’s products.
