The adult boyfriend of a 14-year-old girl who was shot three times in the head was ordered Monday to stand trial for her murder.
Eddie Hollingsworth, 24, of San Diego was bound over to Superior Court after a preliminary hearing before San Diego Municipal Judge Gale Kaneshiro.
Shawana Thomas’ body was found in a trash bin Aug. 4. She and Hollingsworth were living together at the time, police have said.
Hollingsworth remains in County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 25.
