Probers Seek Cause of Fire on Michigan Resort Island

MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. — Fire investigators combed through a downtown building Sunday where they believe a fatal blaze began and spread to four other structures on this resort island. The fire raged for six hours Saturday on the island’s main street, killing Michelle Ann Krizan, 21, of Kentwood, and Stephen Scott Kinney, 22, of Muskegon, both employees on the island.
