Steve Springer, Dan Wagner and Gerry Willard each had home runs to lead a 14-hit attack by Vancouver as the Canadians routed the Albuquerque Dukes, 11-6, to win the Pacific Coast League championship at Albuquerque, N.M.
The Canadians scored twice in the first, then stifled a rally later in the inning when winner Adam Peterson ended the Dukes’ threat.
