Saugus 30, South Pasadena 12--Senior John Lin rushed for 119 yards in six carries to lead Saugus at Canyon High.

Saugus quarterback Jeff Hickman added 131 yards passing, completing four of nine attempts, including an 85-yard touchdown pass to tight end Gerry Caruthers in the second quarter. Tailback Mike Manuel ran for the two-point conversion to give Saugus a 15-6 lead. Manuel ran for 49 yards in nine carries and scored the Centurions’ first touchdown on a 12-yard run in the first quarter.

Made Wenten contributed a 10-yard touchdown run for Saugus in the third quarter. Lin added a 60-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes to play.
