McDonnell Douglas Unit Awards R&D; Contract

Lucas Western Inc.’s Applied Technology Division, a subsidiary of Lucas Aerospace Inc., said it has been awarded a $1.4-million contract from McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co. of Mesa, Ariz.
The contract is for research and development on the advanced rotorcraft transmission program. Lucas Western ATD of City of Industry, Calif., and McDonnell Douglas Helicopter will work as team members on the program for prime contractor NASA Lewis Research Center’s Research and Technology Branch of Cleveland.
