Genisco Technology Corp. Sells Transducer Division

Genisco Technology Corp. sold its transducer products division, based in Simi Valley, to MagneTek Inc. for $2.84 million.
Transducers are devices for transmitting and converting various forms of energy, such as sound or electrical signals. Genisco’s products are used in aerospace, military and industrial markets.
Genisco, headquartered in La Mirada, also has interests in computers and electronic components. Los Angeles-based MagneTek makes transformers, motors and generators.
