Ross Newhan is correct when he says Pete Rose forfeited a chance for the Hall of Fame.
Let Rose do 300 hours of community service and lecture to youth groups about the dangers of gambling.
Through this avenue, he might redeem himself and earn a berth in the Hall of Fame.
He belongs there.
