James Beaman was named to oversee sales, marketing and pricing functions at the Port of Sacramento as its new trade and industrial development director. Beaman, of Davis, Calif., has been involved in buying, marketing and shipping products for more than 13 years, with expertise in agribusiness and foreign trade, port Director Dennis Clark said. He has most recently been vice president of marketing with the Alan Scofield Co., dealing in commodities for overseas consumers. Before that he was marketing manager for the Newhall Land and Farming Co.
