Ron Guidry, in his first appearance of the season, pitched six shutout innings for the Columbus Clippers against Denver in a triple-A game.
Guidry, 38, underwent arthroscopic surgery March 17 to remove bone chips from his left elbow. He began the season on the disabled list.
The left-hander, who is making $500,000 this season, allowed two hits, struck out two and walked two.
He is at Columbus, the Yankees’ top farm team, on a 20-day rehabilitation assignment.
