Harper Group Buys Air Freight Company

SAN FRANCISCO — Harper Group Inc. said it agreed in principle to acquire Challenge Freight Services Ltd. from Fletcher Challenge Ltd. of New Zealand.
With the acquisition of Challenge Freight, Harper said, it is entering the market of perishable goods export air freight.
