Pilkington Honored as All-American

DeeAndra Pilkington on Wednesday became the first Cal Lutheran softball player to be selected to the National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American team.
Pilkington, who was selected as a utility player, is 18-4 with eight shutouts and an 0.99 earned-run average as a pitcher. Offensively, she has a team-high .413 batting average and has driven in 25 runs.
Cal Lutheran shortstop Danielle Piotrowski was selected an NAIA Scholar Athlete. Piotrowski, a junior who is majoring in liberal arts/education, carries a 3.74 grade-point average and a .281 batting average.
