Xerox Buys Some Assets of Intran

Xerox Corp. said it has acquired several key assets of Intran Corp. from Norwest Bank of Financial details of the transaction, announced by Xerox’s Printing Systems Marketing unit in El Segundo, were not disclosed.
Intran sells computer systems for creating and revising technical and business documents, forms and graphic illustrations.
Xerox said it will assume responsibility for continuing most of Intran’s business and technical operations, including software maintenance and customer support services.
Xerox bought the assets in a foreclosure sale from Norwest Bank, which previously had repossessed them from Intran .
As part of the acquisition, Xerox will retain about 25 Intran employees at Intran’s Bloomington, Minn., headquarters and development facilities.
