Columbia Pictures has told the Monkees they can’t monkey around with that name, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The trade paper reports that Davy Jones, Mickey Dolenz and Peter Tork were served with a suit that would stop them from using the name in concert or personal appearances. Columbia officials would not confirm or deny the suit, but the Reporter said it had obtained a copy.
