Local News in Brief : El Toro : Military Exercises Boost Noise at El Toro

Residents near the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station may experience an increase in noise, base officials said, because of regional military exercises that began Sunday.
The additional noise is expected to last through Tuesday morning because of extended operating hours for the base, officials said.
The airfield will operate from 3 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials did not disclose the nature of the exercises.
