Treasuring Trash

Elizabeth Ames in her essay “One Reader’s Trash Is Another’s Treasure” (First Person, Feb. 12) expresses so well what many of us feel. I, too, love trash.

I’m a college graduate and active in cultural organizations, but the 30 minutes weekly under the dryer in a beauty parlor are scarcely long enough for me to get through the National Enquirer.
