Five L.A. Area Hotels Planned

Los Angeles-based developer Patrick M. Nesbitt has reached agreement with Holiday Corp.’s Homewood Suites division to develop five Homewood Suites hotels in the Los Angeles area.
Nesbitt expects to build hotels in or around Marina Del Rey, Burbank, Downey, Pasadena and Riverside. Specific sites haven’t been located, according to a spokeswoman for Homewood Suites.
Memphis, Tenn.-based Holiday Corp. owns casinos and hotels, including Holiday Inns and Embassy Suites. Managers of its new Homewood Suites division have signed development agreements for 86 U.S. properties, which will be geared toward business people who need suites for extended stays.
