Southern Section Basketball Playoffs : Girls’ Roundup : Fountain Valley Advances, 64-57

Guards Kami Bigler scored 20 points and Stacey Hisaka 10 points to lead Fountain Valley High School past Long Beach Poly, 64-57, in a 5-AA girls’ quarterfinal basketball game Thursday. Reserve Miko Montgomery had 15 points for Long Beach Poly (19-7). Fountain Valley (21-8) will meet top-seeded Morningside in the semifinals Saturday.
In the 5-A:
Ontario 45, Ocean View 37--Forward Jamie Zitterkoph had 18 points to lead host Ontario (25-1). Cossette Smith paced Ocean View (25-4) with 12 points.
In the small schools division:
Lone Pine 49, Liberty Christian 32--Ann Richards and Janet Odum each scored 10 points to lead visiting Lone Pine (13-9). Liberty Christian’s (16-5) Sharon Crouch led all scorers with 19 points.
