Loyola Finishes Season in Bay Area

Loyola Marymount will finish its regular-season basketball schedule this weekend with West Coast Athletic Conference games tonight at Santa Clara and Saturday at USF.
The Lions (16-9 overall, 9-3 in the WCAC) are a game behind co-leaders Pepperdine and St. Mary’s. They go into Santa Clara averaging 115 points per game, nearly five ahead of the national scoring record.
Santa Clara (17-8) goes into the weekend tied with USF for fourth place in the WCAC at 6-6. Loyola defeated Santa Clara last month, 87-80, and beat USF in their first meeting, 113-95.
